How to write a winning entry

Four principles that consistently separate the best entries from the rest.

01

Lead with results

Open with your most impressive, quantified outcome. Judges read hundreds of entries — earn their attention in the first line.

02

Evidence everything

Replace adjectives with numbers, dates and named outcomes. 'Significant growth' is forgettable; '£4.2m in new revenue' is not.

03

Answer the criteria

Map your narrative directly to the published criteria. If a criterion is weighted 30%, give it 30% of your effort.

04

Tell a human story

Numbers prove the result; people make it memorable. Show the team, the customer and the moment behind the achievement.
